Cozy Country Christmas from Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilting Blog

 Hello Everyone,

My Cozy Country Christmas pattern in now posted in my Sew'n Wild Oaks Etsy shop HERE.

The blocks finish at 8" x 8".  The entire quilt is 62" x 62" and is easily enlarged by making more blocks and increasing the width of the border.

I have links in the pattern to my free classes on The Quilt Show.com to help you make the components in the blocks.

The pattern also contains my signature block layout sheets. After you make the components, you put them on the sheet to keep you organized and is the key ...

Cozy Country Christmas from Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilting Blog

 Hello Everyone,

It’s been a full and fulfilling week beneath the oaks and pines at Sew’n Wild Oaks. I put the finishing stitches on my new Cozy Country Christmas quilt—machine quilting complete and ready to shine through the Christmas season.

I love to machine quilt, but I do not love loading the quilt on the machine.  It takes me a fair bit of time to get everything lined up properly before I get to the creative magic.

The cabin’s been bustling with activity as I ready myself for the last three retreats and one final quilt show of the season. I put the files in Google Drive to make them easier for you to print.

1. Starch your fabrics first
2. Use Aurifil 50wt thread
3. Cut accurately
4. Check to make sure you have an accurate 1/4" seam
5. Follow the pressing directions
6. This is not a race

You will be finished with the blocks soon and then you can move on to ...

Christmas in June from Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilting Blog

 Hello Everyone,

I've been sequestering myself in front on my computer and in my sewing room working on projects.  At my request, Marcus Fabrics sent me sample yardage of Cozy Christmas by Katie Solberg from Pieceful Gathering Designs. I sat down with my EQ software and came up with a design that I am calling Cozy Country Christmas.

I LOVE the plaid in the line and wanted to showcase it throughout the design.

The entire line is just so attractive!

I started making blocks and I'm getting a nice little pile of them done while listening to Audible ...
